A Pride of Scotland comes to an Essex Wedding.
When I first met Elizabeth & Simon to discuss their wedding plans, I was secretly excited to be working with a Scottish theme, having lived partly in Edinburgh, I fell in love with the Scotts and everything it offered, from its Formal historical and modern tartan fabrics, its cuisine and and its beautiful scenery steeped in history.
There are so many Scottish customs and traditions that we can only touch the surface on. But people from all four corners of the globe know that they are nation rich in history and culture, and many of their traditions have been adopted throughout the world. associated with Scotland and other Scottish customs and traditions, are its world renowned whiskies, golf, and some of the folklore such as Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster. Other folk would think of men in kilts and Highland dancing; while others might think of bagpipe music! and even remember the famour poet Rabbie Burns..
So working with my couple late January allowed me to indulge in a winter wedding and using flowers that were in season came easy to a Scottish themed wedding, by adding beautiful white roses, with purple tipped Lizianthus and blue thistles, submerging flowers and floating candles. A sprinkle of magic snow on the day even helped! the Scottish traditional cold air we all know and love, came to our county of Essex.
A Pride Of Scotland Tartan supplied by our Bride & Groom, matched in with our lush cadbury organza chair sashes, and adding their tartan throughout all the finishing touches from glassware to stationery was the perfect finishing touch.
The Perfect Day was set!!!
